Those two statements couldnt be more true! As summer is coming to an end... wait... what?? We live in Cali come on now, summer never really ends.... not for a long time at least... so ill say for those who go are going back to school, summer is coming to an end for us. What an eventful summer it has been, its been one of the best in a really long time. I made a promise to myself that this summer i would enjoy being outdoors more. Ive gone camping waaaay more that last year. We started in April, and went once a month about every month up till now. April was my bday trip to Gaviota, then went back in May for my parents anniversary. June we hit, wait.. i lied.. we didnt go in June. July we went to McGrath, and so far this month we went to lake san antonio. Out of all those trips so far, id have to say LSA was by far the best. Those that know me well, know i grew up going to the lake every year. Its the most peaceful place, and such an incredible feeling being behind a boat. This year i learned how to wakesurf. For those who dont know what that is, its when your on a board thats basically a surfboard, but thinner and with grips on the top. you start off behind the boat with a rope, the boat only goes 9 mph to produce a larger wake, you get up and surf that wake.... once ur comfortable enough you let the rope go and its surfing.. so much fun. Lake San Antonio is beautiful. I had never been there before and for a smaller lake it wasnt crowded at all. The weather was so amazing, it was int he low 100s most of the time... yes i love that! Get too hot?? Nah just jump in the water to cool down and your good.
So i only took one class over the summer this year... i think im getting close to graduation actually. Even though its just my first degree, its such an accomplishment... it took me a long time to do it too. I did my schooling all funky... I did all my fire classes first, which was super smart! I got my certificate of fire science in 09. I continued to take more fire classes just for the hell of it, bc who knows when i will need that class under my belt anyway right? Then i went back to work on my general ed slowly... .seriously i wasnt in any rush to get it done... bc i knew i didnt really need it... but it was desirable... im so thankful i went back to work on it and wish i coulda done it faster, but oh well. i took math this summer, and got a B... how i managed that i have no clue, but i think all i need is one more math class and im done!!! Ive been thinking lately that once im done with the CC where am i gonna go next? I have no idea where to start , i dont know what other colleges offer you fire tech/science degrees???and do they take financial aid? Looks like ill have to meet with a counselor for sure, but most of the time they are no help whatsoever.... so either way im SOL. I just need to get through this comm college for now.... Mike says he will throw me a party when im done, so keep a heads up for the invites! Ill be so happy to be done!!!
ummm i really feel like im blabbing on and on now, so ill end this blog. I really want to blog more , but i realize my life isnt that exciting to be doing it everyday like most people do .
so instead ill keep with the random blogs till something cool happens.. lol
